Being a Knitter is Hard!

Funny how i was doing really great at doing one project at a time for the last year and then i decide to join a KAL and all of a sudden i have so many things to knit or that i want to knit. Maybe i just picked a bad time with Easter and Mother's Day and Jenni's baby being born at the end of the summer. As the future Aunt it is only natural i knit something for the little guy!!! I was on a roll for a few days and managed to add a couple inches to my Orangina. But then i started a Dinosaur for Aidan, which he cares nothing for but it was fun to make. And i shortened the sac on my hubby's willie warmer, something else that lays around gathering dust. I wish i had more people around me to apperciatte my knitting. Aidan is of course to little to appreciatte so i will have to breed him to love the yarn and what it makes :) :) Well i am off to watch Pride and Prejudice.

Happy Happy Easter!!!!!

Happy Easter Everyone!!
I got a Pullip Doll for Easter!!! She is so beautiful! I can't wait to make clothes for her! I will have a picture for you next time!
So i haven't done anymore work on my Orangina :( I made Easter basket presents instead. For my mom-3 cupcakes and they turned out so cute i wanted to keep them for myself but i just can't keep everything. I know they have a nice, happy home. I also made the Candy Wrapper Sachets from the One Skein book by Leigh Radford for my mother-in-law with lavender inside. They turned out really cute and smell great-I love how lavender smells when i get time i will have to make some for myself.
But the most important thing right now is getting some work on my Orangina i am really far behind compared to the others i have seen on SKC blog i have maybe an inch and a half out of LOTS OF INCHES!!

Hope you all had a great Easter!

My Garden does grow but my knitting doesn't...

Spring is HERE my Garden is growing!!! Okay... you got me it just has tulips and leaves that i need to clear out but there are about 10 tulips!! and they are so happy and bright!!! And they make me smile when i walk past them. I am waiting for my rhododendron to bloom and watching my Hydrangea closely for any sprouting he is my biggest concern!!

I made this flower washcloth for my friend's birthday, something simple but cute. i like that i did the 2 colors all my other washcloths that i have made were solid. Why didn't i think of doing this before???

Well there is another thing i have gotten done, my Husband's Easter present. As my mom said "his egg warmer" Ever since i started knitting hubby has joked about a "Willie Warmer" so i found this cool pattern http://www.queerjoe.blogspot.com/Willie%20Warmer.htm and had to make it for him, it won't get much use but it's a fun gift-a little different from the usual Easter present. it's a fun quick knit. I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease that i got on clearace for $1.50 and size 6 Double-point needles. I used the changes that QueerJoe adds at the bottom of the page to do the decreases and close the sac and head.

Okay, okay so my knitting is growing but not where i would like it to be growing. Orangina is way, way behind. I really need to get crackin. I check the SKC blog everyday just to see the progress the other ladies have and one has the front and most of the back of her orangina done. I AM SO JEALOUS AND ENVIOUS. Whenever i start a new project i can never see the end in site especially when i am trying to do so many other things at the same time.
And i haven't done anymore work on Bad Penny either. ANNDDD i have to do the straps for Eeyore's bag. It's neverending. I need to go knit before something else manages to get on my WIP list.

Special Post

Happy Birthday Aidan!!!!!

My little Man is 2 today!!!! He is growing up so fast!!

i will update later on today i even have pictures of tulips in my front yard! SPRING IS HERE!!

THE YARN CAME!

THE YARN CAME! THE YARN CAME! THE YARN CAME! THE YARN CAME!
I got it Saturday and went straight to work that same night. I finished this afternoon. All i have to do is have Eeyore sit in it so we can figure out what kind of straps and how long. Flat Eric sure had fun modeling though. :)

I started my Orangina on Friday night and worked on it tonight too. I only have about an inch, it will take a little while before i get used to the stitch and start picking up the pace.
I put my Bad Penny aside for a break. I was having some problems with slipped stitches over and over again and since the yarn is slippery you lose it fast. I got frustrated and decided since the Orangina KAL started yesterday i would just let it rest and start it refreshed in a couple weeks.
I got Mason-Dixon Knitting book and i LOVE IT. It has great patterns and cute little stories and tidbits. There are so many things i want to make from it... like i need any more projects to add to my "Want to Knit List".
Off to bed i have to make up for my lost hour ;)
